Butterfly
A butterfly spreads her wings
And in my presence flies
Releasing from my fingertips
A gentle and glorious cry
I see her flutter into the distance
Treading through blue and green
Her wings lightly carry her away
Into the light she foreseen
You can just see her path
As she gradually disappears
Through her wings she carries away
All that my soul fears
I can just feel her serenity
As the world warmly breathes
My heart beats finally calm
Breathing the silent breeze
The butterfly has drifted above
Into the sky’s soothing song
In my heart she’ll always stay
As for her calmness I long.
