Tortured Imprisonment
A girl once wished upon a shooting star
Desiring for a day when the storms won't rage
A father and a mother and a splintered door
Suggesting that this misfortune will never change
Trapped in a cold room, no means of escape
Four devoid walls and a window to nowhere
Layers of cobwebs descending from the ceiling
Footsteps of her tormentors ascending from the stairs
Nightly visits from strangers, laughter echoing
Rebounding from blank walls, her ears overwhelmed
The breaking point reached, the stray window opened
A two story plummet, gravity mow takes the helm
A shining flash, a burning brightness
A sweep upward, her hair flying with her to heaven
Salvation occurs, carries this soul away
The vanquishing of a curse, a life from the age of seven
