The words burst forth: "I love you"
It's too late to take them back now,
And - as they hang in the air between us -
I decide I may as well plow.

Through this mess I have created,
To sate the beast I've reinstated,
And end this battle I contemplated,
Each night I lie awake.

You turn away, away from me,
And the tears burn my eyes,
And although I shall miss you terribly,
I whisper to you my goodbyes.

Within this mess I have created,
To sate the beast I've reinstated,
And end this battle I contemplated,
Each night I lie awake.

So don't forget me,
I don't mind the wait,
Just...please don't hate me,
I'll be by the gate.

On the edge of this mess I have created,
To sate the beast I've reinstated,
And end this battle I contemplated,
Each night I lie awake.

"Well, that was quite a while ago,
The cherry blossoms were in bloom,
Now I stand in a foot of snow,
peering into the gloom..."
