The Truth
People say I’m pretty
So I guess it’s true what they say
Pretty girls do such ugly things
Every night
I slash my innocence away
My youth has been taken over
By depression and
A rusty blade
Black and long pants
Is my lifestyle now
The truth is written within me
But never comes out
Regret and denial
Consumes all my time
Lie after lie
To keep them all blind
Carved into my legs
Is a reality they will not see
For this is the truth
And to them
The truth is not me
