If I Could Talk With Anyone...

If I could sit down with anyone in the world and talk to them,
That person would be my past self.
I would ask her why she cried when the girls made fun of her,
Why she thought she needed their help.
I could tell her not to weep at night, I truly understand.

I would kiss her forehead, hold onto her small hand.

I could hug her tightly, if only she'd let me breathe.

I would explain why it's good to sob a little, as long as you don't seethe.

I would convince her that she'd meet her best friend soon.

And I would teach her, how to kiss the moon.

The stars would all collide, and we wouldn't be,

But if I had the chance, I would meet me.

There was a prompt on another site, and it said "Write a poem explaining who you would sit down and talk with if you could have the chance. They can be famous, dead or alive, just tell me who you would talk with." :)

I would want to do the same exact thing, if I could meet myself, back then. But now, I'm just trying to live in the moment and not live in regret. Because now, I am starting to be who I was meant to be. :) LKiv.Harris, this is amazing. I wish I could find more words than just repeating myself, each time I comment on your work. Haha, I don't know if that made sense, but I do wish I had more words. But I think, I'm just going to repeat myself, haha. Never ever forget that you are a talented and amazing writer and friend and person. You have such a talent and greatness in you. Your poem, I can connect to a lot. That is so amazingly true!!! That's all i can ever ask for if i had the chance. Actually i wrote a poem kinda like tjis it's called Letter To Little Me but i didn't submit it yet, your poem reminded me of it. It was so great LOVED IT :D 5/5
