Through the Looking Glass
All the world’s a circus tent
And I’m merely a sideshow
A sad clown lost dwelling
In a Hall of Mirrors.
Everywhere all I see is
Consuming me to who
I should be.
Warped beyond measure I
Settle for solitary reflection
Hiding behind contorting
Complexion.
But I will
shatter expectations.
Though all the world’s a circus tent
And I’m merely a sideshow
I aim through the looking glass
To a Wonderland reality-
Everywhere in all I see I
Consume to me who
I should be.
By a future nearly past
I seek truer reflections in
A sad clown found dwelling
Through a Hall of Mirrors.
