Here, there, Nowhere
Here, there, Nowhere
I saw you today
I said hello
you saw me-
I know you did
I was right in front of your face.
Was I even there?
Am I even here?
Invisible but there
standing in that spot
and felt like such a nut
Do you find joy in hating me?
the past is over
I saw you-
I know I did
We were inches from each other
Was I even there?
Am I even here?
Poised there like a statue
rooted to that spot
and with thousands of words
Do you think it was that easy?
It was awkward
We saw each other-
I know we did
you were so close and yet so far
Was I even there?
Am I even here?
Stood there in the open
frozen for a moment
and I had to keep walking
So I left you there
not abandoned, but standing.
I greeted you and paused
you did nothing with that small gift
and I was forced to move on.
