Our Glass
Time simply falls like golden dust,
For more than a minute it lusts.
Two souls encased within the glass,
Forever bound by time and brass.
Oh, powerful, mighty time,
What weakens those unending binds?
In the wretched glass, a twisting crack,
Gold slowly lining the seam like plaque.
A divine hole, for gold to burst,
The single chance to escape, they thirst.
Oh, time, unending time, your keeper is letting go,
What is it making you so slow?
Two souls, freed,
They breach the broken glass that bleeds.
With love and blood, paid without sin,
Now time, unable to reach its whim.
Though you seek to find divinity,
Time will forever be your entity.
