I can really relate beause the article speaks on pressure on kids to be something they're not. And so, the kids are dissatisfied because they will never touch that impossible standard. Towards the end of the poem it states that "I will miss that piece of you, Jane" The point of this statement is to show how people and children will change themselves to try to be that standard that is set by the media.

In the story it states that "The sidewalks were our runways." This elaborates on the topic of the media trying to define perfect when we already have perfect in every living person on earth. Clearly, people strive to be what the media defines as attractive, beautiful, hot, or perfect.

I found the article very moving and I feel that this writer should be promoted more to classrooms to teach children how to defend themselves against the media's thoughts and reach of influence. Many people today are still damaged by the influence and are still hurting themselves to become "perfect."
