I Am a Cat
I slink around all day, quiet and sturdy, emerging when you least expect. I prefer to be alone, and am shy to meet new people. When I have known someone for a while, then I come out of my shell and am around them more and more. But when you beg for my affection and try to catch me, I will run away to be by myself, just how I like it. I watch everyone and everything, seeing and noting how the world works. I climb up on couches and peer out windows, watching the world around me, but barely ever roam outside, for fear I will never return or get swallowed up by the dangers of the universe. I am a cat, and I am quiet, kind and independent.
