My Own Words
These words which flow through my veins
Heavy in my heart and light at my finger tips
Always lighting up the darkness and pain
Never again will I be driven insane, watch me slip
Knives and blood on my mind, no, now I’m tame
Say only what I feel, I write, I reveal in my script
Beautiful words that are restrained
Ever so slightly by my mind, what a shame
I live in darkness, never seeking fame
Lying to the mirror which lies back in vain
And my love is the world and the world is my bane
Watch this
Scourge the earth, burn it down
Let no sign of life be found
I raise nations then I raze nations
Set a blaze to the human race and
Leave no trace on this earthly face
Let me start again, this isn't how it ends
I send out my heart and watch it fend
for fiends and friends
For none deserve to live in this manner
It’s for the greater good, it doesn't matter
If it’s a world for me or a world for them
Let me take it apart, let me take each piece
And peacefully put them in place
Take this, blood from my own flesh
Let it become part of this mesh
Let me be remembered for saving them
God damn it, hear me, listen!
Look at me! Look at me!
They walk away, safe once again
I’m the villain, he without a friend
And so I must, yes, I must offend
This world with my life, that girl with my strife
I shall live alone and on the edge of the world
Forgotten, forgotten, never remembered
So let me write this in my own words
As to not to be taken by an offender
I gave everything, I gave and I had it all
They looked to me, I knew they saw
A god! A god is what they saw, a man
That ascended and defended them
And when all was over, the war was fought
They all returned home, I was little more than a thought
But I thought, I thought that they loved me
I thought that they saw me and loved me
I thought she loved me,
She took what she brought
She sought only what she needed
And when she left, everything depleted
I sit alone in a black hole, empty in space
Lying to myself, forever lying
For the truth is but a lie told in the past.
