The peoples curse
Here we wait in the meaningless rays of a dying sun,
Sitting and wondering how it begun,
When all the world stood in line,
When we tricked ourselves to thinking it was fine,
Where we’d all file along,
Trying to find out where we belonged.
Why is it, it took so long,
To realize all that was wrong?
That our lives were a blank mirror,
That we had forgotten what was dear.
That we allowed ourself to be led,
Our thoughts, voices, all bled.
Why did we sit and wait,
For the opening of the gate.
Why did we let ourselves be buried,
Each other we refused to carry,
We allowed the daisies to die,
Because they said that it was right,
Our ravens killed the doves,
Sam took all we had loved,
We were so lost in our maze,
That we ignored there hard gaze,
We allowed all that we see,
We gave up our golden key.
Why do we hide in the grass,
And complain why it has to last?
Why do we hurt ourselves,
By putting it all on the shelf?
Do we truly not care?
Or are we just scared?
Is it all in our minds,
Or is mankind just blind?
Constantly stuck in this spiral,
While we have the psyche trial,
Where we are not the jury,
But we the executioner surely.
We have dug these lonely graves,
We allowed ourselves to be slaves,
We never spoke out or shared our voice,
Now we are stuck with this choice.
We must stand here and die,
The truth is the same as the lie.
We are the puppets in their hand,
We are the darkness across this land.
We brought upon a plague,
We doomed ourselves and can’t be saved.
We greedily took that final vow,
However, look at us now.
We cry, we weep, we never can sleep,
Nor can we have that blissful peace.
A once thought up dream,
Now spoken as a scream.
Never again to be free,
Never again able to leave.
It is here we must now die,
No matter how hard we try,
We have sealed our fate,
Now we must live in hate.
For there is no beginning, no end,
Just what our devil sends.
No point in crying now,
No point asking how,
For it was our choice,
Now the screams are our noise.
We can only sit and hope,
That someone will bring the rope.
Look into the lake,
Mind you, its still fake.
Hold on for this ride,
Stop trying to hide
Stand for what is yours,
Quiet sitting there and morn.
We did it once, we can do it again,
Only together can we mend.
A broken world,
A shattered dream,
Silence our screams

I sit every day and see such injustice happening in our world. I see tuitions that are almost impossible to pay. I see people stuck in ruts and never able to get out due to what has been done. I've seen people with utmost potiental waste there lives away because someone with more connections and money over powered them. I am not the only one who feels this either. Many people are angry and feel used in our world. This poem was to persuade them to speak up and not just silently take it.
