Why, red as it shows up on the street

Why, black as it surrounds me

Why, pink it used to show in your cheeks

Why, can't these let me be?

Why, brown as it used to be your hair

Why, blue as you wore it everywhere

Why, purple as it showed up with a flare

Why, can't I be elsewhere?

Why, gold as you wove it in a braid

Why, silver as you threw your life away

Why, grey as my life seems like a masquerade

Why, couldn't you come to me straightaway?

Why, are these colors reminding me

Why, didn't you let me in

Why, did you leave it be

Why, couldn't I be your heroine?

Why, did you leave this world withour me? Why?

I wrote this when I was having a rough time and my friends instantly had my back and asked if I was okay. I hope that anyone who is having hard times has someone that they can go to.
