Death is an Honest Thief
There's a flicker somewhere
in the dark depths below
of someone trying to
evade their own soul.
Death is an honest thief.
There aren't any lies
when he steals you away,
like an angel in the night.
There's a screaming somewhere
where the darkness likes to rise,
and you're sure that if you're loud enough,
a passerby will hear your cries.
When you walk into
Death's doors, an ugly, unholy gate,
maybe then you'll understand
you cannot change your fate.
