Hermes's Feathered Shoes
From the peak of Mount Olympus,
To the winding alleys of Troy,
An adventure always awaits us,
For I am not with a mere boy.
I am the glove to his slender feet,
And a slave to his command.
Whether I am torn down or beat,
I must continue to stand.
Glory is to the Gods,
And the messenger amongst them.
But is there no credit where credit is due,
Even if the credit goes to a pair of shoes?

I found inspiration from Greek Mythology. I hope the reader sees the meaning of the poem to be that there are often people behind the scenes of every successful person, even if they do not recieve the credit they deserve.
