Single Chain
Let the freezing rain fall,
I no longer feel the cold.
Let the thunder rumble,
let the lightning strike.
It's all just a reminder,
there are still more dark days to unfold.
I can no longer tell the difference,
between tears and rain.
I am tied to earth,
bound by a single chain.
Too scared to ask for help,
afraid of what would come.
I have so many things to say,
but I can't speak them all,
only some.
Just have to let this storm continue.
I still can't tell the difference,
between tears and rain.
Still tied to earth,
bound by a single chain.
