Addiction
As Clock ticks, it kills
Slowly within
You're holding on alive
But you're body's wearing thin
Plunge into the fog
Bathe in your own filth
Polluting your insides
Destroying what God Built
A heart once red
Now blackened to the core
An addiction so strong
Are you craving for some more?
Your fingers are shaped
Asking for peace
But then interrupted
When you place it in between
Inhaling in the bad
Exhaling out the worse
You try to put it out
But you're way past your first
It starts with one
And continues with a pack
Then ends with a life
That you can't get back
It shortens your years
Your only chance at living
To the one's you love the most
It's only pain that you're giving
You try to cover up
But you can't hide the damage
It takes more to heal corruption
Than a simple bandage
It takes strength and will
to take the first step:
Walk to the ash tray and
Put out the cigarette
