Orange
Sunsets, flowers, and quite a few manmade things
Topaz and opal and tourmaline rings
That Irish girls hair with a sweet lilting name
And even the hue given off by a flame
Citrus and candies and Halloween smells
A little boy’s laugh and the stories he tells
That feeling you get when springtime arrives
And the atmosphere of those fifties housewives
A rainbow’s pallet just two colors in
The start of a day eager to begin
A bag of Cheetos, half filled with air
And a stray tabby cat without whim or care
