"I Am" Poem
I am a beautiful, breathtaking voice that captivates the ears of my listeners.
I am a night sky full of vigorous clouds and untouchable stars.
I am the beating of airy wings soaring, shielding, and soothing.
I am a thick and warm flannel shirt seemly connected and protected.
I am a grain of wheat blowing throughout the lands, spiraling down a rocky path, and growing in a mysterious forest full of remarkable surprises.
I am drop of red blood splattered onto a pristine, crisp, white sheet of paper.
I am a lion bold, brave, and strong.
I am an artichoke, protected with layers of sharp pointed edges. When one surpasses these guards the reach a delicacy.
I am a kalimba, small and simple, yet packed with a subtle sound.
I am skin, the ultimate protector, easily taken for granted, but still saving the importance of what's inside.
My mind is the sound of a bustling city night
I am the uneasy feeling in your gut, warning you of the good and the bad
I am robust and sometimes rambunctious
I am the freshness of a crisp summer salad
I am a tangy tangelo, and a bright burst of colorful confetti
I am a hug that is protective, welcoming, and soothing.
I am the eyes, watching.
And the ears,
listening.
I am.
