Day after day
Day after day
Empty stares burning through
Your eyes are just empty bottles
No meaning
No emotions
No love
No dreams
Day after day
With eyes
Like
Empty
Bottles
With each glance directed my way
I try to avoid those piercing bullets
Each more painful than before
As they grow stronger
My shield is broken
Leaving only the air between us
As they strike me
I am knocked down
But I know one day
These wounds will hea
lAnd I will be stronger
For having endured your destructive ways
Your meaningless words
Pound in the back of my head
And never seem to go away
As those ticking time bombs linger
I feel time getting shorter
And when those bombs go off
I fear that I will NOT be able to regain my
Hope
Faith
Love
