Lady of the Night
Holding onto time is like a losing race
the more time you try, the more time you waste
like catching a firefly in your palm
you just have to let go
let those twinkling lights show the road
Picking up the pieces will not always work
because what do you do to fix a broken heart?
you can try to stitch it up
but It will never really fit
in the end, it will just fall apart
In the shadows you dance alone
spinning around your cold, empty home
you shouldn't have to wait forever
for him
Little lady of the night
no one understands
why you hide inside
while you're waiting for him
you're slipping away
