Running Wild
The wind blows through my hair, the breeze hitting my skin.
Running freely, I forget everything galloping through the woods.
The air tastes like crisp apples.
All I can hear is the sweet sound of nature.
Going on an adventure, I look at and enjoy the outside world.
I wake up. My body fills with excitement. I run down to the barn, ready to ride my horse.
Running wild, the dust collects behind me, as my lungs fill with crisp air.
All I can smell is the sweet scent of nature.
Passing through a meadow of red and yellow flowers,
I’m reminded of a sunset.
As the sun goes down, the moon comes up.
All I see are the stars filling the sky.
The sound of crickets fill the silent night.
I ride back home, ready for a new day.
I wake up wishing that everyday was like this.
But all I have right now are memories.

This piece is a Sense of Wild. Basically this poem is about a girl who loves riding horse and she tells you how she feels or what it should feel like to ride a horse and how it feels to be out in nature. I did this with a group, creative writing teacher and my classmate E.M
