The world goes silent but I still move along.
I listened to the blue jay’s hum and call
I pray now, that this time will last long.

Whispering words make a beautiful song.
Cracking open my mouth like a brick wall,
I pray now, that this time will last long.

My mind goes silent, hoping I belong,
The air has turned crisp as the day prolonged.
The world goes silent and I still move  along.

The cool captures me, I am not as strong.
Pitter patter strikes as the rain now falls.
I pray now, that this time will last long.

Ringing the doorbell as it goes ding dong.
I return home right before it hits night fall.
The world goes silent but I still move along.

The sun has already begun to fall
I kiss the day good night and say so long,
I pray now that this time will last long.
The world goes silent but still I move along

The author's comments:

This piece is inspired by November, hence the title. November was kind of a gloomy month for me because school is extremely strenuous mentally and emotionally, but I always remind myself to try and enjoy every moment and to keep moving along.  The poem is also inspired by various experiences that I have had so long this year.  I hope you enjoy!
