Life’s a stage, That’s your cue.
Everyone you meet has a look on their face,
A look where lying and mistrust never show a trace,
It’s never out of place,
It may seem like they care,
But when you need them no-one’s there.
They said they would have your back,
That you could count on them,
And that was a fact,
But in fact it was a lie,
When you needed them they walked on by,
They didn’t even look at you,
They didn’t even care,
You said you’d be there for me,
Where are you now?
You said you would care for me,
I need your help now,
You said I could count on you,
You wouldn’t let me down,
But now I am falling,
And you’re not around.
I need you to see,
What you’re doing to me,
You’ve been tearing me apart,
Right from the very start,
Don’t act like you’re surprised,
I’m sick and tired of all these lies.
