Ode to the Beautiful Girl
She made the world a better place
Not just for me, but for everyone else too.
Her smile would capture the sun’s rays
She was so beautiful, but she had no clue.
She would dream of a place where the sky was orange
And within the clouds there’d be a village.
One that was suitable for all life possible
And where no one was allowed to diminish.
You would never catch her looking sad
And if you did then something was definitely wrong
All of the clouds in the sky would turn grey
And then it would pour all day long.
She shined so bright that she would make the stars jealous
I don’t even need to be a star to tell what I saw was real.
All of her kindness and self-reliance
Made her as strong as the girl of steel.
No matter the day, no matter the time, no matter the person
She would be there for you, and forevermore.
She made everyone feel as though
They were important, and so much more.
She always does for everyone else, but what do they do for her?
How can they be twice as nice as this beautiful girl?
The truth is that it’s almost impossible
Because she’s such a rare pearl.
Even though she is underappreciated
She thinks nothing of it, and continues on her way
And on her way along the path of love
She sings to herself, “My, what a beautiful day!”
