Rain
With a scent so sweet
It falls cold and wet to the ground
It creeps through the cracks without a sound
Slap... Slap... Slap...
It hits my skin
Leaving a ling only paper thin
My hair sticks to my face
It runs down my neck, tickling my flesh
It pools around my feet
Seeping between my toes
Under my feet
Around my ankles.
I can feel the earth below me turn to mush
I listen to the wind tell everything to hush
With a scent so sweet
It falls to the ground
It creeps through the cracks without a sound
Falling from the sky
This love does not lie
I hold my arms out
Letting my anger run to the ground
I feel it wrap around my knees
climbing higher, higher
Telling me you're a liar... liar...
This rain is poking around me
In this hole i stand
Looking up at the sky
This love above my head does not lie
