Winner
How do you expect me to travel down that road,
when im caught at the light.
when everyone else is racing past me,
but im stuck on the starting line.
on the brink of insanity.
thoughts in my head.
words in my throat.
but they wont come out.
why cant i just scream.
is it that hard to shout.
what is it like,
just to be the winner.
instead of always coming in 2nd.
how does it feel,
to get what you wanted.
please just tell me.
i need to know.
just this once let me,
pretend that i got what i've so desprately been after.
lots of smiles.
rolls of laughter.
so here we are traveling on for miles,
is it the right direction.
or have i hit another dead end.
it wouldnt be the first.
story of my life.
always the friend.
never more.
thankfully never less.
she's the lucky one.
i am truley in awe.
if i could just be more like her,
i just might win.
win the battle.
i've been fighting so hard for.
his heart.
his touch.
and his mind.
I know im not alone,
just one in a million.
labels on our head,
stamped with REJECTS.
i dont mind.
its a true life ive lead.
knots in my stomach,
aches in my chest.
will i ever just let go.
will i ever move on.
im desperatley trying.
so goodbye to you,
winner that takes all.
my light just turned green.
i'll see you after my next fall.
