"Broken Hearts and Silent Screams"
The droplets splatter like paint;
A testament to your everlasting tears.
Splashing color and sound upon your floor,
Drowning you in all your fears.
Your heart frays like a ribbon to shred,
Unable to come together at the ends.
They tickle the pain that's crippling you,
The only feelings your heart can send.
The air turns sour as you breathe it in.
Puffing out in snow-white memories.
Tasting foul of what you want to forget,
Building up your insecurities.
Your ears ring from shattered symphonies
Borne from broken hearts and silent screams.
Made notes and chords only you can create
From the nightmares you once claimed were dreams.
A shadow covers your soul in black and grey,
The colors fading from what used to smile.
A mask now covered in blood-soaked rainbows
Is the only thing that's not a trial.
The mirror shatters and falls around you;
A timeless reflection of what's torn apart.
A face that stares with eyes of regret
And mistakes of the person who broke your heart.
