It's Just Me
Alone
Sitting, wondering why, not knowing where they are
Surrounded
Looking up, like a small child, punished for speaking out
Rejected
You stare down at me, treating me like a demon, wishing only to be rid of me
Horror
Close your eyes as the dark sheet of blackness rolls by
Destruction
It burns, everything blackened and gone
Families
Torn apart, children left out in the cold
Friends
Where are they, I don’t know, no one knows
Justice
I will be back, and you, too, may someday feel my pain
Masses
Always sitting, just on the edge of darkness, waiting for the end to come
Hope
Keep it always; don’t let its dimming light go out
Don’t
Forget, always remember, don’t let it happen again
