In Memory Of...
He promised me he'd come back,
shimmering in his dress uniform of black.
Don't you worry my baby girl
with your twinkling eyes of blue,
nothing in the world
will stop me from coming back to you.
I watched him march away
while mommy assured me it'll be okay.
How much it pained me to hear her cries
gazing up in her tear filled eyes,

with your twinkling eyes of blue,
nothing in the world
will stop him from coming back to you.

Let your head bow,
set free the white dove,
he's away now
this is in memory of....

Pale to the face, she dropped to her knees
and I ran to her side saying: "Don't cry mommy please!"
The men gave their appologies and walked away,
and I didn't understand what they had to say,
but mommy just said this:
Don't you worry my baby girl
with your twinkling eyes of blue,
nothing in the world
will stop him from being with you.
Now lets have our heads bow
with the free white dove,
daddy's in heaven now
this is in memory of...
