The Black Rose
It stuck out of the rest
In the red rose patch
Black, unlike the others
For it had no match
The red ones all leaned East
The black one leaned West
It didn’t seem to have the choice
To fit in with the rest
But being a different color
Than the other ones
Meant it had a special feature
And the red ones all had none
They were all the same you see
And had nothing to show
But as for the black rose
It’s own way it continues to go
