An Alluded Illusion
So soft you couldn’t see,
But the hearts, not minds,
Were meant to be.
The pain they knew
That they both shared
The pain that showed
How much they cared.
Flowers
And chocolates do not mean love,
But the lightened eyes
And smiles and hugs.
Not even a ring
Or kiss in the rain,
These things mean nothing
When you have nothing to gain.
Something
That makes a family from friends,
Something we all know
That never ends.
Something they wove
In the jokes and smiles,
Something that blossomed
From the pain all the while.
There was love out of nothing.
It took four years of something.
It took years of something-
For there was love from nothing.
Something that blossomed
From the pain all the while,
Something they wove
In the jokes and the smiles.
Something we all know
That never ends.
Something we know
That makes a family from friends.
These things mean nothing:
Not a kiss in the rain
Or even a ring
When you have nothing to gain.
The lightened eyes,
And smiles and hugs,
Because flowers and chocolate
Do not mean love.
The pain that showed
How much they cared,
The pain they knew
That they both shared.
The hearts, not minds,
Were meant to be,
The tears
So soft you couldn’t see.
The Illusion.
This was the illusion,
Low and high above
This was the allusion
To soft sweet love.
