Friends of Death
Death lay in a coffin
with his friends in the pews
Some many came
if nothing just for the view
There's Grief up front
he is the next of kn
Acceptance sits two rows back
like touching Grief is a sin
Greed sits in the center
faking empathy to all
For Death left a treasure
and Greed has come to call
Only one knew Death's name
He sneaks in like low tide
He stands by the door, whispering
'Friend I'm sorry you died'
