What I Would Do
I see him up there,
Legs dangling from the edge,
Trying to look like he has a bad boy edge—
But not today.
Today there are tears streaming down his beautiful face.
They come down like a waterfall,
As if it were a race.
Laced with sadness,
They hit me,
Like they were drops of rain.
I shout up to him,"Come down, I know your pain."
I run up the fire escape,
As if my feet caught on flame.
I'd sit there on that roof top with him as we confess,"We're lame."
I take his hand,
So warm in mine,
And take him some place else.
"Everything will be fine."
I tell him,
As I place my hand on his scars,
The ones on his back,
And the ones his dad gave him with his cigars.
"Rose and I had a fight, I can't smile like some do."
"Yes you can." I take his hand "Because I love you."
This is what I would do,
If I could stop you,
On that one horrid day.
You've moved on and away from me,
When you passed away.
I miss you so much,
My dearest friend,
In every single way.

TRIUMPH WHY DID YOU MAKE ME READ SOMETHING SO SAD?!?!?!?!?!?! *wipes away tears* Great peice, and I hope it gave you some closure, something very difficult to come by when something so tragic happens.
Sometime, life is a b!tch, but we have to keep trying. But then, the day comes when trying is no longer an option. Bad things happen to good people, while all those bad people live without a care in the world, everything working for them. Sometimes it is difficult to understand this, and it breaks those amazing people down one piece at a time. Its never made sense to me why this is how the world works, but thats Earth in a nutshell. My heart goes out to you, your friend, and everyone effected by their death.
Sometime life is just too difficult for people to expect you to live on, and after they finally stop trying, everyone else wishes they could have stopped it. But it is impossible to turn back the clock, and Im sure wherever your friend is, its better for them. May their death be more peaceful and filled with more joy then their life ever was.
