Writing
Writing is an art
At least, it is for me
If the words come from your heart,
You can’t go wrong, you see.
Poems aren’t that tricky
Well, unless you don’t like reading
But unless you find what you do like best
You’re in no shape for leading
Also, one quick word;
If your poems do not rhyme,
I don’t consider that of any value
It doesn’t take thought or time
Stories are somewhat harder
You have to have creativity
If you have what it takes to make one, though
A great novel might not be a fantasy
I’m writing an awesome story right now
Containing FTL, lasers, maybe some nuclear fission
But unless TeenInk just takes one look
They aren’t clearing my submission (*winkwink nudgenudge*)
Anyway, the point I’m trying to get to is this;
If people say you have talent, don’t hesitate to trust
And make sure to use that talent now
Before it builds up metaphorical rust
