Ninteen days of pain

April 4, 2013
By Anonymous

I open my eyes
Here I am again in the rain
Surrounded by lies
Only ninteen more days of pain
Locked in a cage I stand
Searching desperately for a helping hand
I find myself alone
Everywhere I look
I feel like a dog without a bone
I am an empty book
I am the shadow in the night
I am the cowardly crook
I am the lost fight
I am the fool
I am alone in a world so cruel
There are just ninteen more days of pain
From this world I have nothing left to gain

All good things must come to an end.

Actually, I write a poem every day counting down the days :P And eventually I will submit a poem about "The Day"

The beautiful thing about writing is that you don't have to get it right the first time, unlike, say, a brain surgeon. ~Robert Cormier

It's really good! I really enjoyed it. I'm trying to imagine what happens at the end of the nighteen days...
