I am the Master of my fate; I am the Captain of my soul

I can't stand when people see me
They see the vest
And ask where's the dress
I always look my best
They call my name, once, twice
Im deaf, did I fail the test
Your test?

Yea my style is saddle shoes
And blazers, where's the razor?
I have my own Jersey Girl Blues
Fedora I adore ya
I don't care if bore ya
I have my own Jersey Girl Blues
They say we're a-okay
With you're being gay, but they wouldn't last a day
Because I have my own Jersey Girl Blues

Sure I've dated boys
Some treated me like
One of their toys
I've dated men
But the fact is
I've treated them like a friend

Yea my style is saddle shoes
And blazers, where's the razor?
I have my own Jersey Girl Blues
Fedora I adore ya
I don't care if bore ya
I have my own Jersey Girl Blues
They say we're a-okay
With you're being gay, but they wouldn't last a day
Because I have my own Jersey Girl Blues

This life I did not choose
But a girl I will
I've got nothing to lose
This is just how I feel
You don't have to show me your boobs
To make me fall head over heels
In love with you

Just show me your optimistic,
so terrific,
so fantastic,
must be magic,
not so tragic,
My, so romantic,
Hopelessly frantically in love,
Side of you

The author's comments:
I get tired of people wanting me to change or be the person I was before. The truth is that people change. It can be bad or good. My life is not effecting anybody and I'm happy, why criticize me for being happy?
