The vibrant screens seduce us
Blankly we stare
Enraptured by false beauty
Pulling us into its lair

It unlocks the private lives of others
Yet most of it is fiction
The more you get the more you want
It’s an unbreakable addiction

You act as a shadow for hours at a time
Stalking without surrender
You only find things you don’t want to see
Things you don’t want to remember

People say things they will later regret
Saved forever on a small screen
The drama, the updates, the pictures
What does all of it mean?

Originally intended to keep us together
Now is setting us apart
Technology is disconnecting the human race
With no mercy and no heart

I loved this! It connects with modern day issues teens and young childrens face by being surrounded with technology. The choice of words in this was fantastic!
