Will You Be My Hero?
When the love I’ve known, and the doubt I’ve found
Comes back to haunt, and break me down
I realize the pain, I’ve come to know
I ask you again, please be my hero
I wish I could live with little dismay
Reach out with my life, and love everyday
Could you save my decisions, and shadow my fear?
If I ask you once more, will you be here?
Will you push through weakness, saving my breath?
Will you take time to help me, forget all the rest?
Could you teach me to be myself, in my life take part?
When my blood stops pumping, would you lend me your heart?
But I know you can lead me, keeping it secret
Quietly supporting, as though I can’t hear it
In that case I guess, just give me your hand
You can still be my hero, but I need you my friend
