Never again will I spend a day
With him my beautiful friend
He left too soon for me to say
My heart will never mend

He ran without a word to me
My spirit began to break
No sadness in his eyes I saw
Our friendship was a fake

Or maybe he really wasn’t sad
He left without a peep
I wasn’t afraid to say he was
The shepard to my sheep

How worthless does that make me feel
He just cast me aside
How easy it was for him to say
Goodbye, old friend, goodbye
