I Trusted You

You came around,
dressed in a good friend’s skin.
My guard was down,
Hoping for a Raven win.

You schemed away,
Wondering what to take.
My judgement began to sway,
A fool out of me you did make.

As kickoff was near,
You gave up on your lies.
Soon all I could hear,
was my sister’s cries.

You know what you did,
don’t you dare play coy.
You and them dropped off the grid,
playing with my emotions like a toy!

This is a poem that was written to take my mind off of a depressing event. The original is lost so I rewrote the best I could.

Glad that I could give you this feeling. It was very therapeutic to write.

This is really cool for me because I feel like I can completely relate due to recent events. Reading this made me feel like someone else has been there. Thanks for that. Awesome poem.
