It Must Have Been
I broke a rule,
I must be bad.
A tear in my eye,
I must be sad.
Nice to a boy,
I must be a slut.
Bandage on my hand,
My knuckles must be cut.
Don’t want to eat,
I must be anorexic.
I don’t feel well,
I must be really sick.
Looking really tired,
I must go to bed late.
Dislike a person,
It must be hate.
Eat all my food,
I must be fat.
Scratches on my arm,
It must have been a cat.
Bruises on my body,
I must have fought.
Holes in my t-shirt,
It must have got caught.
Proud of an achievement,
I must think I’m the best.
Like to work out,
I must be health obsessed.
This is what you assume
Of the person you see.
But you’ll never know the truth,
Until you stop judging me.
