The Darkness In My Soul
The day's sun shines the brightest light
Yet blackened clouds remain unseen
Deep within my soul lies an endless night
That keeps my thoughts unclean
I pray that it stays inside
Heaven knows what monsters lie
In my sickened mind
They're clawing for attention
Yet I try to act aloof
At first I don't believe but later had a misaprehnsion
It's not normal, and I don't need any proof
These thoughts, these thoughts cannot be real
Please just make them stop
Pain is the only thing I feel
I fear my time is up
A premontion flashes before my eyes
Light eats up all the black
Consuming all my countless lies
It tells me what to expect
I fear it's bad news for me
Something I'd happily reject
A mourning dove cries out, "A death of self is what I foresee"
I don't know what to do
Perhaps this is the last thing I'll write
Or maybe it means I'll start anew
Or it might mean the end of the relentless
night
