Spiders
Spiders,
creep-crawlies,
8-legged arachnids,
“Just an insect,”
doesn’t even apply,
“They won’t bite,”
are you sure?
“That’s a small one,”
That’s what it wants you to think,
Spiders,
Spiders,
hairy-legged,
venom fanged,
super, tiny, very small,
practically invisible,
crawling across,
your face while you sleep,
in the dark of corners,
is where they creep,
try to get them out,
you never win,
how in the world,
did they get in?
tiny physique,
spine-tingling and meek,
the sight of,
the so called “weak”,
will make you shiver, shudder,
shriek, and squeak,
with even the slightest chance that when you sleep,
a creature will crawl, and fall, and creep,
quietly, silently as a cobra,
and very much give you hypnophobia,
Spiders,
Spiders,
multi-eyed,
camouflaged,
prepared to fight,
I could list the spiders, that I don’t like,
tarantulas,
daddy-long-legs,
jumping,
wolf,
fishing,
sowbug,
crab,
parson,
cobweb,
cellar,
funnel,
weaver,
the list could go on, and on,
but how many types do I not like?
it depends on one information spike,
to answer that, I have one simple question,
how many types are there, again?

This is a piece about phobias, and personally mine, arachnids... brr... After writing this, I don't know if I less scared, or more scared of spiders.
