Monsters
She almost let the fear consume her
The horrific monsters attacked
Relentlessly they fought to make a stir
The source was hard to extract.
Back then she cried and wished
She longed to return
To a state of peaceful bliss.
The monsters she would learn
Could never harm her strong soul
Mighty emotions from
Demons only she could control
Sometimes she felt numb
Years later those horrific monsters
Began to slowly fade.
They existed as imposters,
I was the one who stayed.
