To My Mommy: For All That You've Done
I smile at my mommy
And she turns away
She says stop wasting time
We have lots to do today
I try to impress my mommy
All she does is glare
She says she’s wasted too much money on me
For me to act like I don’t care
I try to hug my mommy
She finally hugs me back!
She tells me I need to go to the gym
I’m beginning to look a little fat
I grow up without my mommy
She’s run off with another man
She left daddy and I all alone
Because when things got hard she ran
I no longer want a mommy
Cause all she does it let me down
When her name comes up around me
I cannot help but frown
Now you want me mommy
Because I finally don’t want you
But when we say “i didn’t need you anyways”
You’re the only one telling the truth
