Guilty Words
What if everything of yours was taken away?
What if your old friend fell flat and died?
I guess it was a small price to pay
Would you care or show remorse?
Or would you try to hide, tongue-tied
Try to take back your words and fake apologies
All for some gain
Which led to somebody else's pain
They wouldn't be considered insane anymore
When they died sprawled out, bleeding on the floor
Would you pray to the sky?
Or would you move on?
Save your apologies, they're already dead
For all of the mean things you said
Would you see your words?
--written on the face of their dead body
Try to escape your guilt
And watch your life begin to wilt
Be careful what you say
Everything you care about can all be taken away
