Free at Last
When you pushed me aside and let me be; When you said I wasn't worth it only then did I see;
You didn't seem to care when you let me drown; And when I begged for your help, you let me down;
I've spent all this time blaming myself; And still I wonder why you left me alone on the shelf;
Every night, as I'd lie in bed, memories of you and me ran through my head;
Every single tear that rolled down my face always stained my pillowcase;
No matter how hard I tried to stand tall; Whenever you'd come around, I'd trip and fall;
And no matter how hard I tried to keep up with you; You were too fast and you bid me adieu;
When you waved good-bye and said farewell; You then released me from this living hell;
Now that I am free, my future...is finally up to me
