Nothing is promised

I once met this beautiful girl with the same scars as me, crazy right?

How we both were hurting in similar ways, Ours scars were like connect-the-dots: where mine ended, hers began, and toghether they drew a pictureof pain so clear, I finally understood myself.

I felt like I finally found the perfect friend for me after all she was as delicate as a roses petals.

We did everything together, like wearing the most funky-looking clothes not even an 80-year-old woman would ever imagine wearing

She told me her most darkest secrets and broke down about it and I was there to hold her like a mother holds her child after they fall off their bike

Suddenly one day our friendship wasn’t the same

She started breaking all of the promises like my father would break the empty alcohol bottles over my mothers head, she broke me like he broke her

I guess what they say is true the more people you let in the more people leave

Was it worth it?

Breaking our promises?

Breaking me?

Losing something so beautiful and unique as our friendship?

Losing YOUR self respect?

Losing me?..

I guess you forgot all about that once you sparked that blunt and left me in the dark grey fumes you let out.
