Ode to the Women in My Life
An ode to the women in my life
To the women in my life which created me
From showing me what it means to be brave
Showing me how to tie my shoes
From telling me how to be respectful
Telling me to do my homework
If this were a football game
I would be the runner and you would be the defense
Crashing and slamming into my obstacles
Just so I have the ability to run and score
If we were a meal
I would be the steak
But you would be the salt and pepper
Giving me the ability to have flavor
You are the one which told me the places I would go
And cried when I wanted to leave
You are my number one fan
My number one criticizer
You are braver than a lion
And as gentle as a cat
I was born a fragile tiny ecosystem
But you created a mighty jungle
Filled with the plants to provide
And the hunters to take a kill
In a life like this I was left vulnerable, newly planted
And like a powerful bean stock I grew
Just because you believed I could
And though the universe is ever expanding at 67 kilometers per second.
I always seem to find that my center stays the same, and it's you
You are my little dipper
Guiding me towards the right direction
To my goals and back home to you

The imagery is so strong and vivid. I love the comparison and contrast.
Looking forward to more works from you!
All the women mean so much.
